Well what exactly did you need help understanding? Basically what you are doing is designating an area of a picture to be a link, what you want people to see when they hover over it, and the shape of the area you want it to be (rectangle [rect], circle [circle], or polygon [poly]) by designating coordinates of the image. <MAP NAME="map1"> <AREA HREF="this is where you want the click to go" ALT="what people will see when they hover" TARGET="only if you are using iFrames" TITLE="title" SHAPE=RECT COORDS="152,110,186,120"> </MAP>
<IMG SRC="imagecode" ALT="" BORDER="x" WIDTH="x" HEIGHT="x" USEMAP="#map1">
Does this help answer your question? Please tell me any specific or further questions you have.

Well instead of coding it, there are various sites where they make image mapping easier. I do my image mapping on a site. Then they make the code and I just paste it. If you want it let me know I'll send you the link. Image mapping means there's a link on an image.... no separate navigation in the sidebar
