Setting Up An Example Step 1. It is a good idea to have some basic knowledge of HTML, Coppermine, and PHP if you want to make a fansite/personal site. If you don't know what these three types of coding/programs are, you should probably go to a coding help website, such as W3Schools or, you can scroll down for more help with HTML and Coppermine.
Step 2. Go to a free hosting website, such as FreeWebs or Zymic, and set up an account if you don't already have one.
Step 3. Now, if you are already familiar with FreeWebs, click Edit My Site on the main screen. This will take you to a panel where you can add your pages.
Step 4. Click Add A Page, and name it PAGENAME.htm. Once you have created the page, click the pencil next to the file name. This will take you to the Edit screen.
Step 5. Now, if you haven't already made one, make a "tester" layout/header in your graphic program.
Step 6. Begin coding your page. To get hosted, you will need to have every page coded, so when you finish the index page, copy and paste the same code on the index page into your other pages, but change the content. Remember to click Save when you finish each page.

Apply For Hosting Step 1. Each host will be different, so it's good to keep in mind that your example will depend on if you actually get hosted. Once you've chosen a host from here, make sure you read through their rules to see if you meet their requirements.
Step 2. It's really important to pick the right host. If you pick the wrong host, and something happens to your website, obviously, this wasn't a good choice of hosting. Some hosts delete sites purposely, or don't help out webmasters when their sites are hacked. Make sure to read everything - FAQs, Rules, Packages, how to Apply, how many banners and ads, etc.
Step 3. If the host has a forum for applicants, such as StarsZZ does, then go to the forum, and read the hosting application rules and apply. Now, all there is to do is wait and hope to be hosted!
